If you believe your e challan is incorrect, you can raise a grievance through the official e challan system and submit supporting evidence.

1. Open the e challan portal — Visit echallan.parivahan.gov.in and click "Grievance" from the navigation menu.
2. Enter challan details — Enter your challan number and Tamil Nadu vehicle registration details.
3. Explain the issue — Describe the error clearly and specifically. Common valid grounds in Tamil Nadu: ANPR misread of a TN number plate at a busy Chennai junction, a challan for a document violation where the documents were valid at the time of the check, a camera challan on NH-48 or NH-44 where the vehicle was incorrectly identified, or a challan issued against a vehicle whose ownership was already transferred at a Tamil Nadu RTO.
