Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers to common questions about mudra loan 2026

PMMY does not specify a fixed income ceiling. Any individual or entity running a non-farm micro enterprise, with no active loan default, can apply. The lender assesses repayment capacity based on business cash flows.

Yes. Apply online at udyamimitra.in or through individual bank portals such as SBI's E Mudra. SBI E Mudra processes Shishu loans up to ₹50,000 digitally, often within 59 minutes for eligible applicants.

You need Aadhaar, PAN, proof of residence, business address proof, business ownership proof, and recent bank statements. Kishore and Tarun applicants must also submit a project report and quotations for equipment, if applicable.

Shishu loans via E Mudra portals can be sanctioned within 59 minutes to 7 working days. Kishore and Tarun loans, requiring deeper assessment, typically take 15–30 working days from document submission to disbursement.

Yes. Existing Mudra borrowers who have repaid their Tarun loan can apply for the higher Tarun Plus category (up to ₹20 lakh). Repeat Shishu and Kishore applications are also permitted, subject to lender assessment.

The lender must provide written reasons for rejection. You can reapply after addressing those gaps, approach a different member lending institution, or raise a grievance at scores.gov.in or through the bank's internal redressal mechanism.
